Narrative Report on the Conduct of School-based LAC

School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) or school-based LAC mainly purposes as professional
learning communities for teachers that will benefit them improve practice and learner attainment.
The Department of Education entirely supports the ongoing professional growth of its teaching
employees. In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the Enhanced Basic
Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on The
Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing
Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning, stated on
DO_s2016_035.
Maribojoc Integrated School teachers attended the first School Learning Action Cell (SLAC)
for the School Year 2019-2020 last Friday, June 21, 2019 at the school campus. There were five
participants and Ms. Michelle B. Balaba, School ICT Coordinator, was the Resource Speaker of
the said activity. Topics discussed were about School Forms (SF1 to SF 10), LRMDS, LIS and
Guidelines on the Use of E-Classroom. After that SLAC, teachers were expected to login to their
accounts in LRMDS and LIS and have a deeper understanding on the preparation of different
school forms.
The activity ended at 4:40 in the afternoon. Participants and the Resource Speaker received
certificates for their active involvement that leads to the success of the first SLAC.
