Totalitarianism is a political system that doesn’t allow public opinion and It restricts public
opposition, so at first, I understood that Totalitarianism is very similar to the term
Dictatorship, in other words everything exist into it and nothing outside of it, that includes
total control of peoples beliefs (religions), cultures, politics or any other aspect of life.

For Instance, Politicians or people with power can approve or ignore any law regardless of
the situation; they can shape their own rules and they will force the society to follow
them, because if some people decide to go against the rules they can be punished with
physical aggression, that means that the people completely loses freedom to public
opinion and citizens life are no longer private but government’s.

A modern example of Totalitarianism is the one in China, when the Coronavirus Pandemic
started china had some very questionable ways to deal with the virus because if people
left their homes during the quarantine they can be “Kidnapped” by the secret police or
China’s citizens were obligated to stay home even if they don’t have the requires
resources to spend a significant amount of time in isolation, technically poor people in
china were sent home to starve to death and they couldn’t do anything about it.

Furthermore, Politicians nowadays, because of the pandemic, have more power than ever
before; people can question this, however people cannot argue against their reasons to
close jobs or isolate complete states, after all, the more life saved the better for all of us. If
Totalitarianism tendencies spread around the world during these uncertain times they will
be probably justified and no citizen would do anything against it, everything would be
controlled by the state including the way we live our (economy, communication, imposed
curfews, etc.) just like a country dominated by Totalitarianism.

In a world ruled by Totalitarianism there will be no room for individualities, democracy

wouldn’t exist and people would live miserable life in my point of view. If we as citizens
keep fighting for our rights people will still be heard no matter the situation we currently
have to live through, Totalitarianism shouldn’t be a thing to deal with because we are not
things to play with nor pets that need an owner we as human beings deserve to have a
choice.

Totalitarianism

No one likes to be in a position where you found yourself forced against your will, but
when that time comes you have to fight for certain things. Totalitarianism is a political
system that restricts public opinion and punishes any kind of opposition against it. In
simple terms Totalitarianism is very similar to Dictatorship, absolutely authority over
everything, Rules in Totalitarianism exist into it and nothing outside of it that includes
total control of people’s lives (beliefs, religions, cultures, politics, economy, etc.)

For Instance, Politicians or people with power can approve or ignore any law regardless of
the situation; they can shape their own will over current laws and they will force the
society to follow them, otherwise if some people decide to go against the rules they can
be punished with physical aggression, that means that the people completely loses
freedom to public opinion and citizens life are no longer private but the government’s.

Not to mention a modern example of Totalitarianism: when the Coronavirus Pandemic

started in China, their government had some very questionable ways to deal with the virus
such as people living their houses while the quarantine takes place, the secret police in
China is allowed to kidnapped the ones that are not following the rules and kept them
isolated from the world during this pandemic, China’s citizens were obligated to stay
home and spend a significant amount of time without the necessary resources, this for
obvious reasons affected the poor people that couldn’t work during the quarantine,
technically the poor people in china were sent home to starve to death and couldn’t do
anything about it.

Furthermore if you think about it, because of the pandemic, Politicians nowadays have
more power than ever before, unfortunately for us if people in power choose for
Totalitarianism ways to deal with our current situation they are completely justified by it
and people cannot argue against their reasons to close jobs or isolate complete areas,
after all, the more life saved the better for all of us. If Totalitarianism tendencies spread
around the world during these uncertain times everything would be controlled by the
government; economy, communication, imposed curfews, even the way we live our lives
will be controlled by them because we cannot go outside, if we decide to we will most
likely be stopped by a police officer asking us what are we doing outside if we are not
supposed to go out a certain day or even worst we can be arrested because we didn’t
follow the government rules just like a country dominated by Totalitarianism.

In Conclusion, I believe if we as citizens keep fighting for our rights people’s voices will be
heard no matter the situation we currently have to face through, Totalitarianism shouldn’t
be a thing we have to deal with we are not pets that need an owner we are human beings
and as such we deserve to have a choice. Nevertheless if we allow to found ourselves in
situation with no way out and we choice to do nothing about it someone else will, and we
will be forced to pay a debt whether we like it or not. In a world ruled by Totalitarianism
there will be no room for individualities, democracy wouldn’t exist and people would live
miserable life in my point of view.
