What makes a dream or aspiration worth pursuing?

What makes a dream or aspiration worth pursuing is absolutely up to you

and your views . Many people choose their careers and their life plans based on
their passions and what they love doing . A dream should be something that
you’re willing to work hard to achieve . It shouldn’t be just a hobby but a
lifestyle . It’s not a mere interest and if you are willing to pursue it , then you
should be willing to sacrifice for it . Lastly , if you want to pursue a dream or an
aspiration , then it shouldn’t be a temporary thing , but a long term goal.

Romeo and Juliet - William Shakespeare - In the play

“Romeo and Juliet “ the big dream that Romeo and Juliet
wish for is to be together. There are many obstacles in the
way of that and that is the big conflict in the story . In the end
we find out that Romeo and Juliet would rather kill themselves
then be apart from each other . The point of the ending is that
they sacrificed themselves for the dream , that’s how tragic
but sacred their dream was.

In the book “ The Odyssey” - Homer , the big aspiration/ dream

is Odysseus wanting to go back to his home to see his family . He
travels around the Meditterean Sea , and constantly finds himself
in situations that result in danger. He learns a lot along the way , and
defeats his obstacles . In both the stories “ Romeo and Juliet “ and
“They Odyssey” , we learn that sacrifices and passion are what makes
dreams and aspirations worth the effort.

In the story “ The House on Mango Street “ - Sandra

Cisneros , Esperanza’s dream is to leave Mango Street
and move out to her own place. Esperanza’s meets new
people in her neighborhood and sees how other people’s
living citations are .She then realizes that she’s grateful
for her life .This makes her dream of leaving Mango
Street unimportant and irrelevant . This story shows us
that some dreams aren’t dreams that should be pursued ,
and when to know when you should pursue an aspiration.
