Hydrocarbons had always been necessary to us.

We should not ignore the role of hydrocarbons in the development of every
day life, since we can carry out our daily activities through them. They are
used to produce plastics, fibers, rubbers, solvents, explosives, and industri
al chemicals, as oils, lubricants, electrical power generation, heating, and a
s raw materials. We’ve been considering Hydrocarbons as an essential
need to because without these, our lives would be a little bit harder.
Hydrocarbons are both abundant and productive.

As seen on my collage, I think those examples of Hydrocarbons are

enough to prove their importance because the photos attached there, are
the things that we use in dealing with our daily lives. Truly hydrocarbons
are essential to us, we use it in our daily lives, for instance the propane in a
gas grill and the butane in a lighter which we use to make fire. Also
rubbers, specifically tires are a big help to us humans and society in order
for us to transport. Another photo that I attached there was fuel/gas which
is composed of hydrocarbons, also plays a big role in transportation, and
without these, we aren’t able to run a car that’s why without hydrocarbons,
our life would be tough.

Methane, propane, ethane, butane, pentane and many more are

some of the basic examples of hydrocarbons. Methane in homes may be
used to fuel a water heater, stove, and clothes dryer. Ethane is also used
for the production of a chemical called ethylene, which is used in the
manufacture of goods such as plastic, automotive antifreeze, and
detergent. Propane in homes, are used for space heating and water
heating; for cooking; for drying clothes; and for fueling gas fireplaces,
barbecue grills, and backup electrical generators. Propane is also used in
businesses and industry, to power forklifts, electric welders, and other
equipment. Butane is used as a fuel in lighters as it handles being
pressurized. Pentane is used in making other chemicals, plastics and low-
temperature thermometers. And to sum up the ideas said above, the main
meaning of it is how important hydrocarbons is in our daily lives.
