While I could mention the catch phrases such as “photojournalistic”,
“available light” etc...all the words you read in the bridal magazines,
our success is due to our attitude. We are very low key and unobtru-
sive. In fact due to our friendly easy going nature and un-paparazzi
approach, we are sometimes mistaken as keen friends who have been
asked to shoot. This attitude creates a bond between us and the couples
we shoot. They know we consider them the most important people on
the day and I have been told that our experience and professionalism
brings a calming influence to what can be a stressful day.
We shoot every wedding as though it were our own. I capture what I
would want to remember if it were my wedding. Twenty years from
now, you will not be interested in super artistic effects or heavily pho-
to-shopped images that fit the current fad. Nor will you care if an
image was an “award winner”. What you will want to remember is the
joy you had, the happiness that was shared, how you and your friends
looked, your parents and grand parents happy faces. As you show your
images many years from now to your children and grandchildren you

 FAQ
What kind of Cameras do you use?
I am asked this question a lot by budding shooters.The camera brand
does not matter. I shoot or have shot with most of the major brands.
The most important component in photography is the person holding
the camera. Their knowledge of light, angles, lens and camera capa-
bilities and limitations all play a part in making the photo. Think of the
camera as a painters paint brush.
How many photos do I get back?
The legal rights to the photos belong to Artwork Studio. These
rights include usage of the photos for self promotion, editorial work,
publication and public display on the Internet or any other media as
the occasion arises. Don’t let this scare you. It is totally NOT in my
interest to present you in a bad light.
You have the rights to use the images for any non-commercial
purposes, including web page display, printing and/or burning ex-
tra CDs for your friends and family. However use in any commer-
cial publication or for the purpose of advertising requires my express
WRITTEN permission.

Other than blinks, duplicates, or those rejected for aesthetic reasons
you will receive a copy of all images for personal usage.
Where is your studio?
The WORLD is our studio.
Every where and anywhere. Our studio is portable as our clients are
typically mobile and prefer their portraiture on location, ON their
wedding day. This enables us to give very different portraits than
those offered as engagement shoots by Bridal Studios, capturing your
joy as experienced on your wedding day.
Our Wedding is so important we want to hire two photography
companies.
Reason: There have been occurrences of our work being published by
Malaysian magazines where by the magazine has omitted giving cred-
it and in doing so inferred they own the rights to the photo. Tut tut!
How do I book you?
A 50% deposit and signed contract is required to confirm your book-
ing date. Calling me on the phone and telling me to hold the date open
for you is not considered booking us.Popular dates may be booked up
to 18 months in advance.

How quickly after the wedding do we get to see the photos?

Don’t laugh. This actually happens. The usual timeline taken for editing & printing is 1 month.

It is one of the easiest ways YOU can RUIN your wedding photogra-
phy coverage along with any ambiance you have attempted to create.
The other team transforms the shoot into a paparazzi trash wedding. I
have photos I could post on how this looks but as I have no desire to
embarrass anyone I will refrain.

If you have a big wedding tell me. I will hand pick a team of experi-
enced photographers who will give you superb, unobtrusive coverage.
Just what you want.

Last thing: If you are going to book us, READ my contract. It deals
with this very clearly.

Who owns the rights to the photos?

We provide affordable wedding photography tailored to sensible bud-
get ranges. Past clients who have stretched their budget to obtain our
services have told us we are very good value for money. It is also
important to remember that after your wedding day, after the food is
eaten, the cake consumed, the guests have gone home, and the gown
and shoes are put away never to be worn again, that the only thing
you will have to remember your wedding day will be the heirloom our
photography creates for you and your family to enjoy for the next 70-
80 years. This makes our pricing exceptional value for money.
As I get a lot of emails for how much we charge, and of course for
“best price” I will explain a little bit about why we are one of the lead-
ers in actual day wedding coverage. There are several factors which
affect pricing which distinguish us from the hobbyist shooter.

3. Time involved in post production

5. Attitude
I will expand briefly below.
Skill and Experience:
When it comes to photography the skill and experience of the person
holding the camera is ESSENTIAL. Artwork Studio are very experi-
enced. We have several hundred successful wedding shoots completed
over the past 5 years.
Quality of images:
As we shoot RAW, the quality of images are very high, and therefore
require the aforementioned hours of editing work. In seminars I have
taught it is apparent that many photographers in Malaysia shoot infe-

rior jpg images, ultimately due to lack of commitment to the final im-
age quality. Jpgs have extremely limited dynamic range, and require
the photographer to surrender quality control and image processing
to the camera. This causes all sorts of exposure problems which you
likely do not see due to the use of the “delete” key. We call these
photographers the “spray and pray” as they typically machine gun
the wedding and then hope they have enough quality shots at the end
of the day. I personally would not like to fall prey to the “spray and
pray” shooter.
Time involved in post production:
After each wedding Artwork Studio team spends time working on
EVERY image taken. This adds 25-30 hours of time in front of a com-
puter that you do not see, however the time spent gives all of the pho-
tos a consistent look and feel which have won him work contracts.
EQUIPMENT:
We do not show up at a wedding with a consumer camera, lens and
a flash. We bring professional level cameras and lenses, backup cam-
eras, lighting, stands and assorted equipment which can easily total
over RM70,000 to your wedding day. We bring the best as you de-
serve the best.
ATTITUDE:
We understand it is not our photography shoot, it is your wedding or
event. As such we try to be as unobtrusive as possible. There are no
rugby scrums at the altar so that nobody can see the wedding taking
place. At many weddings we assist the couple far more than a mere
photographer would and are often stabilizers to a very hectic day for
the couple. Many times other guests think we are actually friends of
the couple!
