Geraldine Eustaquio won

PAARL Best Research Award
Geraldine Eustaquio one of the Enverga
University Librarians won the 1st place Best Research
Award given by the Philippine Association of
Academic/ Research Librarians Inc.

The award is given during the 47th General

Assembly, Awarding and Induction Ceremonies held at
Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon
City on January 31, 2020. Ms. Eustaquio’s paper was
entitled “ Design and Implementation of EMRC web
based portal.

The award is given to recognize and reward

academic/research librarians who undertake quality
researches that are considered of significant potential
impact and relevance in the field of evidence based
Philippine Librarianship and will served as the spring-
board of further research.

Ms. Eustaquio received a plaque of recognition

and cash incentive for her paper.

Ms. Eustaquio is currently working as the

Technical Section Librarian of Enverga University.

Library Feb-Ibig Spine Poetry Contest
The University Library conducted a Spine Po-
etry Contest last February 2020.
LIBRARY CES UPDATES
The library is supportive with the University’s
advocacy of making the university a Green University
wherein cleanliness and planting herbal and ornamental
plans is one of their activity. In this regard, the
University have created its own Green Project which is
the Green Revolution. Wherein the library staff plant
vegetables and ornamental plants in front of the
University Library.
For this semester, the library staff were able to
harvest blueberries. These blueberries were made into
jam and blueberries cheese cupcakes. These products
were being sold by the library staff to support the
CLASS (Club for Library Assistance Supporting
Scholarships). CLASS aims to support library student
grantees who is in need of financial assistance.
But due to the health crisis, library staff were
being affected with the lockdown, staff were required
to stay at home. The University Library recognized the
financial difficulty of the staff especially those who are
non-permanent. They decided that some of the

The contest required the students to
line up the words on book spine to create a
poem. This is being photographed and
uploaded to the Enverga Library Facebook
Page. Theme for the spine poetry is about love
and celebration of Valentine’s day. Student
entries were requested to be uploaded to
Enverga Library facebook page. Entries were
judged according to creativity, clarity and
number of heart reacts. Judges were the
librarians in the University Library.
Winners of the said contest were
Romni Fae Gocon (1st place), Christian Dave
Anda (2nd place), Zedjy Angelo Castillo ( 3rd
place). Winners received certificates from the
library
Blueberry cheese cupcakes in pack being sold by the
proceeds from the sale be given to some of the
library staff who were not able to receive
financial assistance from the University.
The University Library also gave financial
aid to their student assistant which were greatly
affected by the pandemic. They were student
assistants who were stranded at their boarding
houses and restricted to go home due to the
situation. They were given groceries and cash.

Enverga Library Live Chat

Enverga Library launched Live Chat,

an online platform wherein they can message
the library and asked their concerns/queries.

This was launch in April during the

Covid-19 pandemic to reach out to the library
patrons even in times of health crisis. The
Enverga Library recognized that even in times
of this pandemic, Enverga community still
needs information. Through Live Chat they
can ask questions, queries and their concern
about the libraries.

Live Chat can be accessed through

envergalibrary.com/follet. It is located on the
lower right part of the follet interface. Page named Enverga Library. Please do like our
facebook page to get updates about the library.
