The most significant function in our daily lives is played by

information. Libraries are one of the places where students visit
when they need to get some information sources to satisfy their
interests. For their academic work, students mostly rely on books,
journals, and databases. Despite being aware of the value and
accessibility of visiting a library to conduct research, students or
information seekers can encounter several difficulties. The majority
of the issues revolve around people being unable to obtain the
information they require in the shortest possible time. When a
researcher needs more information to do study or make judgments,
they participate in information-seeking activity. The study's goal
was to identify the information sources utilized by the students in
the Bestlink College of the Philippines.
A survey was conducted by use of questionnaires targeting
all college level. Descriptive surveys are used to gather data and
descriptive information without making a judgement, while
normative surveys aim to describe numerical data and recommend
information tools and methods for improving college students'
information behavior. The researchers selected 387 bona fide
students of Bestlink College of the Philippines to administer a test.
The respondents were given a letter of consent, a personal data
sheet, questionnaires, and scores were tallied and analyzed using
statistical treatment of data.

The study has revealed that most students are prefer to use
internet for their academic works, assignments and  course work;
for it is more easy and accessible for them than visiting library that
might consume them a lot of their time. But browsing the internet
still can’t satisfied their needs, students still needs the collections
from the library.

Researchers recommend providing internet access,

improving library collection and utilization, making information
sources available online, conducting a seminar or orientation for
students on how to use OPAC and DDC, and seeking assistance
from librarians.
