Offecct is a Swedish furniture design company that develops unique, sustainable furniture and
acoustic material, together with selected architects and designers. This is their second book in a
series of collaborations with various designers from around the world. This time featuring
designer Luca Nichetto, whose first contact with Offecct dates from 2007. In the book you read
how he adopted Scandinavian sustainability thinking into his native Italian design language. In a
conversation with Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde, Nichetto says: The more restrictions you have,
the more creative you have to be. Sustainability is one of these restrictions that leads us to
discover things that we have never considered before.

Erla S. Haraldsdottir – Overganger
Arvinius + Orfeus Publishing 2021 ISBN 9789189270138 Acqn 31496
Hb 17x25cm 112pp col ills £21.95

'Transformations' features reproductions and details of the Icelandic artist's recent paintings,
drawings, and mosaics from a project that takes symbolism surrounding Easter as a departure
point. Haraldsdottir utilizes figurative oil painting to construct playful and highly personal
interpretations that present 21st century imagery of the death and resurrection of Christ. Yet the
paintings remain open-ended and ambiguous at the same time. Her skilful large-format paintings
create tableaux that invite viewers to consider possible worlds infused with symbolism, memory,
landscape, interiors, and kinship.

Consumed Notion
Arvinius + Orfeus Publishing 2021 ISBN 9789189270091 Acqn 31439
Hb 22x23cm 44pp col ills £26

In this photographic series, the Swedish multi-disciplinary artist Joakim Eneroth has taken
different famous brands and poured them into plastic boxes, placed them on light tables, and
photographed them from above. When separated from the concepts, logos and designs, the
perception of the products becomes something completely different. This touches on our
subconscious identification with well-known brands and how they are presented to us. Many
products we buy have similar content but with a unique presentation that entices us to consume.
In the second part of the art project the etheric and colourful have taken the concrete form of
sculptures depicting overflowing and dripping consumer products and their packaging.
