Lab report 03
Experiment Name: Verification of Ohms Law

Theory:
Ohms law states that voltage across a conductor is directly proportional to the
current flowing through it, provided all physical condition and temperature remains
constant.
V=I*R
Where, V = Voltage, I = Current & R = Resistance
Procedure:
Apparatus: 1. Resistor
2.Multimeter
3. Power supply

 Step 01: Search resistor, multimeter and Power supply and create a circuit as
shown below.
 Step 02: Keeping the resistance to 1Ω and changing the voltages to
5V,10V,15V,20V to see the change in current reading.
.
 Step 03: Keeping the resistance to 5KΩ and changing the voltages to
5V,10V,15V,20V to see the change in current reading.
 Step 04: Keeping the resistance to 25KΩ and changing the voltages to
5V,10V,15V,20V to see the change in current reading
 Step 05: Check the relationship between current and voltage in the two
circuits

Discussion:
We learned how circuit works with altogether with the three apparatus, we
observed by increasing the voltage in the circuit the current also increases and by
the keeping the resistance fix while changing the voltage in the circuit. We
continued the process but changing the resistor and still got the same current
change with respect to voltage. Therefore, the ohms law is proven.
Conclusion:
We found a trend in the ratio of increase in current as we increase the voltage.
Therefore, we deduce the circuit flows ohms law.
