The world we live in today is overly sexualised.

Video games, movies, music, social media,

advertising, all uses lust and sexuality to draw many towards them. The morals of many are
becoming debased. Young men and women are being trained in their minds that the whole being is
to be given over to their own sexual impulses, that sexuality and the practice of corrupted intimacy
is to become the main goal and desire in life. Men everywhere are the recipients of continued
attacks upon their morals. Demoralising behaviour is becoming more and more accepted, and young
men and women are encouraged everywhere to pursue a life of misery hidden under the guise of
freedom.

Don’t misjudge my words. Intimacy is something that God ordained from the beginning of the world
in Eden. We were made to be the givers and receivers in an intimate relationship. To my knowledge,
intimate relationships are the most natural high we can receive as humans. Appropriately
undertaken, it helps build a relationship with a lifelong partner. Unfortunately, the world has made
intimacy become something detached from God, and to only serve ourselves.

How can a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed according to Your word. Psalm 119:9. By
following the word of God we may become pure, we may be able to “Wash ourselves, and make
ourselves clean;” Isaiah 1:16 His word is a “lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.” Psalm
119:95 By the word of God we may be changed, purified, cleansed from our (sometimes
unknowingly) wicked ways. By keeping our eyes fixed on the living Word of God, Jesus the Son, we
may have a spotless example to follow. He will lead us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s
sake, Psalm 23:3. He will keep us from error and help us to not fall to our own temptations. The Law
of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. Psalm 19:7

We may rest on these promises: “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good
work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 and knowing that “no
temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not
allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way
of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

God does not want us to fall to perdition. But if we fall we can be comforted knowing that Proverbs
24:16 says “for a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by
calamity.” Have you fallen? Rise again. Come to Him who says “the one who comes to me I will by no
means cast out.” John 6:37. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. All unrighteousness. We need not confess to a man,
but we must go directly to God through His Son Jesus as His word authorises.

Are you struggling? Jesus says “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will
receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts
to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask?”
Luke 11:13.

God wants to help us defeat sin in our lives. Are you questioning why is sin attractive? The carnal
mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans
8:7. Naturally, unfortunately, we like sin. I naturally like sin. But I can personally testify that a life
given to God is way better than the sin filled life I once enjoyed.
