Co-founder:
Dilip and Anand Surana run Bangalore-headquartered generics firm Micro Labs. The
company makes drugs for cardiac diseases, diabetes and pain management. It also
makes ophthalmic products for Bausch & Lomb's Asia-Pacific market. The privately
held company gets nearly 60% of its annual revenue of $478 million from the
domestic market. The company was founded by their late father G.C. Surana, a
former pharma distributor, in 1973 in Chennai.

Hiring a team:
As the name implies, a hiring team is the group of employees tasked with filling a
vacant position(s). Hiring teams are typically responsible for everything from
the recruiting of talent, interviewing of applicants, and hiring the proper candidate.
The process of hiring is Meeting with the hiring manager. Conducting reference
checks, background checks and the job offer management process Ensuring an
exceptional candidate experience.

Creating a leadership team and roles:

Simply put, the job of a senior team leader (CEO, President, GM) in leading a senior team is
to establish the conditions that will help the team thrive and be resilient. Unfortunately, the
work isn't simple at all and is often made more challenging by the tendency of many
executives to assume that with experience and position comes the ability to serve as an
effective leadership team member. Evolving a group of executives, even highly skilled and
talented ones, into a cohesive unit that points the organization in the right direction is a
complex endeavour that requires time and nurturing.
Some of our roles are;
1. GRAMA SESHAMURTHY BALAJI - DIRECTOR
2. DILIP SURANA – MANAGINF DIRECTOR
3. ANAND SURANA – WHLETIME DIRECTOR
4. PINKY JAIN – DIRECTOR
5. VIJAY KANTILAL SHAH – DIRECTOR
Challenges in their roadmap:
Dilip Surana approaches challenges as a part of life. He believes that through hard work,
anyone can overcome their circumstances and achieve extraordinary success. He has made
his professional journey as an eventful life. Of course challenges, failures and mistakes were
a part of his life but he always followed the words of his great mentor. And he taught him
better to make through the difficulties.

Planning ahead for future:

The pharmaceutical industry prides itself on being the second largest growth industry in
India; by the year 2030, it will be the third largest industry in the world by 2025. One of its
major players. It not only provides training for specialists in its various sectors, but has a
strong emphasis on research and development of new drugs and licensing them
internationally. The founder's sons have taken over the firm and now must decide how to
maintain its competitive edge and how to achieve its goal of becoming a $1 billion company
while respecting and enhancing their father's vision for the brand.
