About the Exchange Program
Undergraduate students from Human
Ecology may spend up to a year studying at
UNSW- the University of New South Wales.
UNSW manages a large and active exchange
program with over 190 different student
exchange opportunities in 32 countries. UNSW
embraces a policy of “internationalization”
across the whole university and prides itself
on being one of Australia’s most International
Universities. UNSW has long embraced a
policy of “internationalization” and provides
opportunities and perspective for students as
global citizens.
UNSW is situated in Sydney, one of Australia’s
most dynamic and vibrant cities. Located on
the southeast cost of Australia, Sydney is the
gateway to Australia and home to over four
million people. Kensington Campus, the main
campus of UNSW, is located at Kensington,
an inner southeastern suburb of Sydney. It
is conveniently linked to all the major city
transport hubs.

Enrollment forms are available on the Human
Ecology Off-Campus web site. They should
be submitted together with other required
documents to the Exchange Program Office at

With 42,360 students the UNSW offers a
wide range of educational opportunities for
Human Ecology Students from all majors. For
example, DEA Majors can study in the Faculty
of the Built Environment, which offers a
comprehensive range of programs including
Interior Architecture, Architectural Studies,
Industrial Design, Architectural Computing and
Construction Management & Property. The

Human Ecology students.

ACCOMMODATIONS
UNSW provides a range of on-campus
accommodation to suit all requirements,
from student apartments to dorm style
residential colleges with associated dining
halls. The University strongly recommends
that international students live on campus
to take advantage of opportunities to meet
new people and experience university life to
the fullest. Students should apply as soon as
possible to secure a place.
Off Campus Accommodations
Many exchange students do not wish to apply
for on campus accommodation but prefer
to find shared housing close to campus in
the beachside suburbs of Coogee, Randwick,
Kensington, and Bondi etc. International
Student Services has established the
International Student Housing Assistance. This
service provides information and assistance to
help students to find suitable accommodation
as soon as possible after arrival.
