(1) Rubber toric seals and all surfaces in contact with them must be clean and dry at assembly. Put a
thin layer of oil on the surfaces of the metal seals that are in contact just before installation. Put
lubricant on all other seals at assembly.

(2) Assemble the ground face of the plate to the end of shaft and bearing.

(3) Put lubricant of collar assembly before installation. Put 0.59 ± 0.03 liter (1.25 ± .06 pints) of SAE
30W Class CD oil in roller assembly before plug (4) is installed.
(4) Torque for plug ... 170 ± 20 N·m (125 ± 15 lb ft)
