Because history has to be inked

Swadeshi
Sulekha was more than an ink that etched the history of the freedom struggle -
it was the life blood of Swadeshi. Born out of a compulsion to serve the desire of
the Mahatma to empower the people with the pen, Sulekha is the story of
sacrifice: of the indomitable spirit of self-sufficiency,
sufficiency, of a way of life that did not
cower before the might of injustice, even as it sought to economically empower
the people by creating a product that not only substituted costly imported inks
but was also globally competitive in its own right.
Today Sulekha pays tribute to those halcyon days when Swadeshi was a way of
life and Nationalism was represented even in the ink that was used to write the
words that spewed fire against the foreign yoke. Swadeshi was the soul of
Swaraj and to be Swadhin was the goal of our forefathers to whom we pay our humble tribute. The naming is deliberate:
the terms used, chosen to represent a value system that we continue
continue to believe in and espouse.
Swadeshi comes in 3 colours: Royal Blue, Executive Black and Scarlet Red, all packed inside a Khadi Botua from Santiniketan.
It is designed to be a collector’s item. All inks come in 60 mL glass bottle.
Swadeshi costs Rs. 1250 for a set of 3 or Rs. 499 for any one color. Delivery charges are included in the price.

Sulekha Swadhin is available in 4 colours: Red, Blue, Black and Green. All inks come in 60 mL
Glass Bottle.
The ink shades have been chosen deliberately, which we have also mentioned in the
packaging itself, as we want to create consciousness about sustainability through them. The
range will traverse the gamut from Carbon Footprint (Black) and Global Warming (Red) to
Clean Energy (Blue) and Sustainability (Green). It is a journey from darkness to light, from the
bad to good, from subjugation to being Swadhin. This freedom, not only celebrates the
freedom of the motherland for which our forefathers fought, but also hopes to inculcate the
same spirit among our young: to fight for the freedom of the environment, the freedom of
Mother Earth, from the yoke of climate change and global warming.
