COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides comprehensive coverage of the organizations and operations of the various
banking and non-banking financial institutions in our country and how they impact our financial system
as well as our national and local economies. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to
engage in various types of business transactions or work competently with any of these financial
institutions.

provides the entire coverage which is divided into twenty (20) topics. Study Guide 1 is an
introductory overview of the Philippine Financial System, its nature, importance, elements and
its development. The succeeding topics focuses on the vital role of banks and financial
institutions, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
