The CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC has reshaped almost every aspect of our lives and that includes
education. In today’s society, people especially young students struggle to learn. The learning modalities
implemented under the new-normal has not only given pressure and stress to students but also to some
parents. However, we need to understand that we are fortunate enough that the government has
ensured all learners to have access to quality education amidst the situation. Yes, we are just humans
not machines, but we still have to accomplish all our requirements at school. Instead of stressing and
absorbing too much pressure there are many things that we can do in order for us to learn. Here are
some techniques that will surely help you become a better and efficient learner.

Meditation

Before studying we must first relax our minds and thoughts with a simple focused meditation to
refresh our brains so we can focus our attention when we start doing our work. Meditation can help us
relieve our stresses for our attention focuses on one thing that we consider the rest least important in
the moment. When we meditate the flow of our thoughts are smooth and less disturbed from the
decapitating cry of negativity. Meditation also helps us to be free from negative thoughts because our
minds are relaxed that we are relieved completely. Negativity is more likely to cause us failure because
of its inevitability to come when facing certain situations, we spend so much time thinking rather than
filing our thoughts with positivity, a mind with negative thoughts is a bad mind that produce bad person.
A relaxed mind and filled with positive thoughts are essential for effective learning.

Be willing to learn:

Say to yourself that “I will study. I will do it!” and “I have to do it!” Not being able to convince
yourself to study is the biggest barrier. Once we cross it, half of our battle has already won. If one starts
studying with negative thoughts, there are free chances that you may study less or fail to achieve set
targets. We are simply thinking of our self-made barrier. We should also analyse ourselves. As most of
us don’t think musk before making a plan, we end up with the plan that we fail to achieve.

Motivate yourself to learn:

Examine why you want to learn and what you want to learn. Find reasons to continue. Be
positive and challenge yourself. Be able to understand that when you learn something it may be difficult
in the beginning but it will become easier by practice.

Take a short break:

Set aside some time to leave your room behind. Take time to relax. Don’t try to learn everything
at once. Your brain needs to assimilate and process everything that you are learning. If you are overload,
you will get tired and you will frustrate yourself and eventually lose the progress of your learning.

Time table:
We should make a time table. This is important in addressing the challenges of procrastination.
Nowadays, college students find themselves wasting countless hours doing things that are less
important while they stay in the comfort of their homes. But, through the help of your time table you
can regulate your studies and fashion your time making sure that you don’t procrastinate.
