What is Smog?

Smog is the dirty brown haze that hangs over the skylines of major
cities. The term ‘smog’ was first used in the early 1900s to describe a
mix of fog and smoke from burning coal. Today, most of the smog we
see is photochemical smog.

Photochemical smog is produced when sunlight reacts with nitrogen

oxides and at least one volatile organic compound (VOC) in
the atmosphere. Nitrogen oxides come from car exhaust, coal power
plants, and factory emissions. The VOCs are released from gasoline,
paints, and many cleaning solvents. When sunlight hits these
chemicals, they form airborne particles and ground-level ozone — or
smog.

Like all end-of-pipe solutions, whether for effluents or for emissions,

investments such as smog towers or effluent treatment plants have
been established to be futile and economically unfeasible in the long
run

In India, the passport is issued by the external affairs ministry. It’s not
a “powerful passport”, as it ranks low on the global passport ranking. It
allows visa-free travel to just about 60 countries, primarily in Asia,
Africa and the Caribbean. Japanese passport that topped the index in
2021 allows visa-free travel to 191 countries.

What is dual or multiple citizenship? And what about a second
passport?
Dual or multiple citizenship means that a person is the citizen of more
than one country (say the US and Canada and/or the UK). It gives the
person rights and benefits in these countries. You can live, work and
study in any of these and get benefits like healthcare, education,
social security, etc.
