Introduction:
The act of accusing someone for assault, harassment, threats, or property
destruction is known as domestic violence. Domestic violence is described as bullying,
blackmail and accusation.

Circumstances in Pakistan:

In Pakistan, we often come across news reports about the killing of

women and girls by members of their family (usually husbands, fathers or brothers). Such
cases are also common in countries like Afghanistan, Egypt, India, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco,
Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, and others. Rape is the most horrific form of female assault. Rape
victims might suffer serious effects and may even get psychiatric disorders. Burning the
women alive, acid throwing and beating them for small faults are extreme violence. Such type
of violence is common in South Asian countries especially Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan
and India. Another frequent kind of harassment is sexual harassment, in which women are
harassed by their male colleagues. By threatening, harassing, or giving money to satisfy sexual
urges, this occurs primarily at workplaces and areas where both females and males may
effortlessly combine. We frequently hear that children beat up their parents for their wives or
for the sake of money. This is the society we live in.

Islam as Cover for Women:

Islam has a significant impact in strengthening women's positions and
promoting their place in society. Women did not have legal position before the Islamic period.

1
The holy Quran ordered an enhanced standing for women in society with the introduction of
Islam.

Stopping of Violence Against Women:

 Create and implement laws protecting women from discrimination and violence, such
as rape, slappings, verbal abuse, amputation, torture, “honour” killings, and human
trafficking.
 Educate people of the community on their roles under international and national human
rights laws.
 Strengthen women’s ability to earn money and support their households by providing
skills training for women.
 Raise public awareness of the tough circumstances that some women experience,
especially those in rural areas.

Conclusion:
The issue can be summed up in the words of Pakistan's founding father, Quaid-e-Azam
Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
‘’No nation can reach that level of pride unless its women stand by its side.
We are slaves of evil practices. Our women are being held captive within the four walls of their
homes, which is a crime against humanity. There is no discipline for the horrific conditions in
which our women are forced to live’’.

Still I Rise" is primarily about self-respect and confidence. The poem

is empowering about the struggle to overcome prejudice and injustice.
It begins with a direct address to the ones who are trying to write her
down in history. Oppressors try to change the facts of history with
their bitter, twisted lies. The poet is firm in her courage that even if she
is put down to the level of dirt, she will rise from it like dust rises.
She saying that she walks with pride and confidence, despite the
challenges she is presented with. This shows strength of character and
even though she must push through opposition that comes her way, in
the end, she will rise above it all and come out on top.
There is a firmness in the poet’s conviction in her capacity to
rise. Moons andSuns are eternal facts of the universe who never
change. Their presence creates tides on the earth which is more than
certain
