Marketing plan

I will apply for a youth fund in the county government which they will help in
buying cleaning services equipments and to apply for license from Municipal
Council and to pay rent for my business location.

I will print posters which will include the cost of service to be offered. Iwill
distribute the posters around Nakuru town, specifically near county offices,
banks, colleges and universities where I will be targeting the workers from
this institutions and other workers from other organizations.

I will distribute all this posters by myself with the help of my friends.

This posters will include the location and address of the business and also my
own phone number and business name where anyone who will be interested
will be able to contact or pay a visit to where the business office is.

Competitor analysis

I have analyzed in Nakuru town there are very few competitors who have
some weaknesses and strength. They have no uniforms most of them and they
also don’t have internet services like e-mail addresses. For my competitors,
they have one common strength which is; they all have cars and motorcycles
which help them to visit and reach their clients.

I also learned that Nakuru town is growing very fast and so, many people
relocated from other towns to Nakuru where they get apartments for
themselves. Also they feel very secured with Nakuru town since there are very
minimum cases of robbery and many others.

Nakuru as a county government, has done many kind of good job like building
roads and creating laws for all entrepreneurs which guide them. It is also
growing in terms of technology. Nakuru has the best network system and akso
improved infrastructure facilities all over town.

Iwill require a fax machine, cleaning gumboots, a cell-phone, garbage dustbins


where after cleaning clients area the rubbish will be disposed, a business e-
mailwhere I will be able to locate my clients requests and comments.

My business certificate number is 923456from the municipal office.

I did research on where my office will be located and I finally got a place at the
center of the town, Tower 1 building second floor, along Kenyatta Avenue
street.

I will be operating my business from 6:00am to 5:30pm in the evening.

Iwill be controlled by my by-laws which include;

*During working hours, all of as must be in uniforms.

*Cleanliness.

*Discipline.

My business will be located in Nakuru where I did research and concluded nthat it is the
best place to locate my business.

The town is fully secured and the town is growing very fast thus availability of clients is
very high.

The infrastructure in Nakuru, is improving each day and that helps in reaching every part
of the town.

Business description
My business will be a sole proprietorship where I will employ some few workers to help in
cleaning services. I expect my business to offer sufficient service to all customers around
Nakuru town at affordable price or cheap price.

I will be offering services to residential clients who chooses not to clean their homes
themselves due to being busy all day long from early in the morning at work and they have
no time to clean their homes and compound.

In future, I expect my business to grow and offer these cleaning services to other big towns
like Mombasa and Nairobi.Thus to improve and expand my business by opening other
branches in this big towns. As for my start, my business will be located in Nakuru town, in
Tower 1building, along Kenyatta avenue, in the second floor.

I will employ workers who will help in marketing my business and to receive orders from
clients. Also workers who have a certificate in financing account who will help in
calculating the amount we get for the business annually and who will be able to pay
workers according to their work which they did per week.

The reason for choosing Nakuru is because of how Nakuru town is growing economically
and more people are relocating from their rural area because of businesses and thus more
big apartments have been built in Nakuru town.

After 6 months from when the business has started, I expect my business would have
picked up well and profit has started increasing.

I shall be offering cleaning services to residential clients who are busy


working or have no much time to clean their home compound and houses all
over Nakuru town.

In this business, I will require the following equipments for my business to


offer a successful services:-

 Computers for receiving orders from clients.


 Furnitures in my office.
 Uniforms for my workers or working clothes.
 Chemicals for cleaning services/ detergents.
 Wheelbarrows for collecting gabbage.
 Cleaning equipments like brooms, moppers, etc

This is a sole proprietorship business where I will be employing other


workers to help in performing this service or business.

I will be paying tax compliment where I will include all the licenses required
for my business i.e; Municipal Council License, and county government of
Nakuru license.

In by-laws I will consider:-

 Time management for all workers i.e; punctuality should be observed


 All workers should be in full uniform during working hours.
 Workers should be clean and neat.
 Workers should be polite when talking to clients.
 Workers should never take anything from a client without his/ her
concern.
 When talking to clients, workers should speek in a nation language i.e;
English & Kiswahili.
 Workers are NOT allowed to collect more than required money from
clients.

My business will be located in Tower 1 building, along Kenyatta Avenue in the


second floor in Nakuru Town.

My monthly overhead expenses are;

 Payment of Rent.
 Buying of detergents.
 Payment of electricity.
 Purchasing gloves and gumboots.
 Buying airtime and Internet service.
 Transportation fee to my clients.

I will take an advocate to guide me in running my business in a legal way.

In cash, I have Kshs. 120,000 and I require Kshs.180,000 from Youth fund loan
and other organizations like Banks and Saccos. This amount of total cash, will
help me purchase equipments like computers, uniforms for workers, Cellular
phone, fax machine, few furnitures and 2 wheelbarrows. Also to pay for my
rent where it will be located, license from municipal and for my business
advertisement. Also chemical or detergents for cleaning.

The cost required to run my daily business is to spend Kshs.10,000 per month
for transportation service to my clients and to visit various places for
advertisement. That will also include emergency amount of Ksh.5000 to my
workers or employees who will be helping on doing daily business to my
clients.

Management plan

The venture of my business is a sole proprietorship where I will be able to


employ other 6 members whom will be helping in performing my business in
various sectors.

Among them I will need sweepers, employees with knowledge in first aid, an
accountant and computer technicians who will be able to repair computers in
my office whenever a problem arises in my computer.

I will be the manager of my own business while other workers will be under
me. Iwill be recruiting, training and rewarding my employees after work.

In addition, I will require an accountant who will be paying salaries to my


employees and he/ she will be required to have an experience of one year and
beyond in accounting and financial management.

Cleaning service project will be a sole proprietordhip where I will employ some few
workers after the business progresses where I will help in performing some duties like
financially, etc

The business will offer services to residential clients who chooses not to clean there homes
by themselves because of being busy working all day long.

I expect my business to grow in future and offer services to neighbouring towns so as to


improve and perform services all over.

Marketing plans.

In-case of insufficient funds like capital, I will apply for a loan from organizations like
sacco’s and from government donations like youth funds and etc.

Posters will be available which will include the cost of service to be offered. I will distribute
the posters all over the town and institutions which will help me target the workers or
clients from organizations/ institutions.

Management plan

My business will be a sole proprietorship there after the business has progressed, I will
employ 6 other members to help in various sectors like sweepers, workers with knowledge
in finance, in first aid and technicians in computer.

I will be the manager and all workers will be under my supervision with experience in
either of my department like in finance department, etc.

I will seek help financially from institutions/ organizations like Banks, Saccos and Youth
funds where I will add it to the cash I have of Kshs. 120,000.

The total cash required is Ksh.300,000 and thus I will need an additional of Kshs.
180,000for my business to start.

This will help me in purchasing resources like computers, wheelbarrows, uniforms,


cleaning detergents, furnitures, and also to pay for my linscence from municipal council, for
my transportation when advertising and putting posters all over town and also capital for
emergency while working or providing services to clients.
