According to FM approval guide (attached image) water mist systems related to compressor

stations are approved for the following:

1- Local Application Protection

- Water mist systems listed under this category have been performance tested
utilizing a wide range of spray and pool fires.

2- Protection of Machinery in Enclosures

- Water mist systems listed under this category are for enclosures with machinery
such as internal combustion engines, oil pumps, oil tanks, fuel filters, generators,
transformers, gear boxes, drive shafts, lubrication skids, diesel engine driven
generators, and other similar equipment using liquid hydrocarbon fuel and/or
hydraulic, heat transfer, and lubrication fluids; enclosures with incidental use of
hydrocarbon flammable liquids drums arranged for dispensing with safety bungs.

Hereby, there is no existing approved water mist system for compressor stations.

NFPA 15 and API 2030 included application rates for compressors as mentioned in our BODR.
