Romanticism (Application)

“the hay wain by john constable”

I was inspired by the work of john constable called “the hay wain” and this was the most
popular British painting in history, also this artwork has a calm scene and depicts the River Stour
which meanders gracefully between the English counties of Essex and the native Suffolk. In
addition, the focus of the composition is on the cart drawn by three horses, in the middle of the
river. On the left, there is a farmhouse, and across the meadow on the right, one can discern the
haymakers against the trees in the background. furthermore, “The Hay Wain" landscape is an
idyllic representation of a summer day in a quiet corner of England. Lastly, john constable
continues painting, trying to bring the emotion in nature to the viewer, also He gets this idea of a
larger-than-life landscape by his attention to small detail. His paintings more closely resemble
sketch by the way he shades and suggests further details by his manipulation of light and texture,
which is why the artwork of john constable were certainly a romanticism art.
