THE DUSSEHRA GROUND

Located in my colony, the above picture is of an area called ‘Dussehra Ground’. It is a vast ground
with poles to support the figures, a stretch of land for stalls and 2 small parks where the viewers sit
to enjoy the spectacle during the festive season.

The rest of the year it is used as a parking area.

QILA RAI PITHORA PARK

Behind my locality, 8th Century ruins from the reign of Prithvi Raj Chauhan were located in the
middle of the city. The planners decided to make a park with walkways customised to fit the ruins
without damaging them. Today, it is the place where many people go for jogs, surrounded with
history.
