    Project Brief:

    The project is designing of hostel for 100 students (boys-50, girls-50) and site selected for this is the
    location of old SPA campus (located adjacent to Ambedker University). Refer Site Plan (shared
    separately) for further details of project.

    The hostel should be designed to maintain occupant comfort without the means of any active
    conditioning strategies. Careful attention must be paid to the principles of shading & orientation.

    Ground coverage permissible = 30 % FAR

    permissible = 1.5

    Max. Height = 20 m
    Site offset = 10 m from all sides, 20 m from access road.

    Any other facility may be added with permissible limits

    Deliverables: Concept Sheets (to include sketches), Case Study (two), Area Programme (to include

    comparison of case study, standards and what is being proposed), Literature Study, Site Plan, Site
    Analysis (to include components of Climatology), Floor Plans, Detailed layout of all modules,
    Elevations (All Sides), Sections, views and model. Students may add extra sheets in order to justify
    the design.
