We Make Change Work for Women

JUANA LABAN SA PANDEMYA: KAYA

A famous American philanthropist Melinda Gates once said, “A woman with a voice is, by
definition, a strong woman. This is by far one of the most encouraging and convincing definitions of
what is an empowered woman truly about. As we all know, everyone is affected by pandemic. This does
not mean that women are stuck for life. This means one thing – in a rapid changing world may it be
economically, psychologically or even physically, the role of woman must be strengthened and elevated.

Thus with this year’s theme, (We Make Change Work for Women)JUANA LABAN SA PANDEMYA:
KAYA, it calls out deeper sense and significant understanding on how every woman must adhere to their
own capacity of building a stronger basic unity of society by positioning oneself where peace, justice and
equality reigns. Women must be reminded that there is no way that pandemic can only be solved by
anyone who might act strong or any esteemed man who claims to overrule and overpower. Pandemic
can be solved if women volunteer to act with a gentle heart to reach out and a bold spirit to step up. It’s
about time to show to the rest of the world, that whatever position any woman could have, one can do
extraordinary and excellent work if done out of love, hard work and most of all will power. JUANA
