3. Cacti are plants (Major premise)
And all plants perform photosynthesis. (Minor premise) Therefore, cacti perform photosynthesis. (Conclusion) Can you definitely say that the major premise is correct? The major premise is correct because cacti is a kind of plants and perform hypothesis.
4. All humans are mortal.
Socrates is human. Therefore Socrates is mortal. Can you definitely say that the major premise is correct? If we analyze the whole syllogism it will appear that it is valid. Because the major premise states the truthfulness of the statement wherein all human are mortal and also Socrates is human and mortal too. 5. Some nice people are teachers. Some people with red hair are nice. Therefore, some teachers have red hair. Can you definitely say that the major premise is correct? If we analyze the whole syllogism it will appear that it is invalid. Because it contains fallacies or mistake in a logic. The major premise tells the true statement while the minor premise and the conclusion are not. The teacher wasn't able to color their hair with red because of the protocols in school.
