This is the orange we modelled

it is an electronic consuming products manufacturer, based in Los Angeles.

Orange company produces mobile phone, P C, and tablet. The main customers are located in
America and Canada. Orange company also publishes shares in many financial markets.
Form the diagram, we can see the highest level of management is the board. Then the chief executive
officer manages the Orange company Limited on behalf of the board.

As we know, the company’s main product groups are mobile phone, computer and tablet. In addition to
the tangible products, the company also delivers two kinds of services, Install operation system and IT
consultancy.

Let us take a few minutes to go through the detailed organizational structure.

The Orange Company Limited has been divided into thirteen departments according to the different
functionalities.

Let us start from left to right. First, Planning Department, it is mainly responsible for making and
adjusting production plans of one year, six months, one month and three days production plans. The
roles are divided into planner and department manager. Planners are working with production plans,
the department manager is performing approval, then planners create production orders and release
them to the production departments. For orange company, they are Computer department, Mobile
department and Tablet department.

Second, Finance Department, the main responsibilities are to calculate the production cost, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, assets. The other daily task is to analyze financial data for making balance
sheet, profit and loss statement and the statement of cash flow. The roles in Finance Department are
accountant, cashier and department manager.

The next one we want to introduce is the Research and Design department, it is responsible for
researching, developing new products. Meanwhile, they are also responsible for designing bill of
material, routing before mass production. The roles in the research and design department are
engineers and department manager.

Fourth, Sales Department, it is responsible for pricing, advertising and selling the products to customers.
The roles in sales department are sellers and regional sales managers, in this case, they are US regional
sales manger and Canada regional sales manager.

Next one is the purchase Department, it is responsible for selecting vendors, purchasing the raw
materials and managing the inventory. The roles in purchase department are warehouse keepers,
buyers and department manager. The warehouse keeper is responsible for goods receipt, goods issue
and goods transfer. The main task of department manager is to approve the purchase requisition as a
purchasing intention. After approval, buyers create purchase order based on purchase requisition, then
the process of purchasing goods will be executed by buyers.

Let us see the next one, IT Department, the main task is to maintain corporate network, hardware,
software and information security of the Orange company. The roles in this department are system
administers and the C I O or I T manager.

Next to the IT department, we can see the Human resource department or H R, it is responsible for
calculating the working hours and salaries of the employees, expense and reimbursement, recruiting,
training and event preparation. The roles in HR department are H R advisors and H R manager.

The next one is the Facilities, in general, it is an assisting department to chief executive officer. It is
responsible for arranging meetings or social events for the C E O and purchasing office equipment. The
roles in facilities department are junior secretary and senior secretary.

Quality Department, it is responsible for incoming inspection of goods receipt and production inspection
of goods production. The roles in quality department are inspectors and department manager.

Service department, it is responsible for delivering the two services of installing operation system and I T
consultancy. The roles in service department are consultant and consultant manager.

Computer Department, it is responsible for computer production. The corresponding roles are workshop
workers and workshop manager.

Similarly, the roles in mobile department and tablet department are the same as computer department.

OK, this is pretty much about the orange company structure, I would recommend you to bear with it, I
