Questions:

1. What are the characteristics of Tourism?

Based on my research, tourism has certain distinct characteristics. Tourism is a
service industry because it possesses all of the service industry's most
distinguishing traits, which include:
A. The service industry's greatest distinguishing feature is its intangibility.
Tangible items, such as consumer goods, may be handled and felt, but
intangible products, which cannot be seen, tasted, or touched but can only be
sensed and experienced during consumption, are known as intangible
products.
B. The product/service cannot be removed from the original service provider,
which is referred to as inseparability.
C. Fruits, meat, fish, vegetables, and milk are said to be perishable products
since they spoil quickly. Tourism, too, is perishable because every tourism
product has a temporal limit for enjoyment.
D. Because there are many human factors involved in the delivery of tourism
services, the product is heterogeneous in character, and it is impossible to
guarantee that each tourist's experience will be the same. Because there is a
human aspect involved, some experiences will be decent while others will be
exceptional.
E. The lack of ownership is a common feature of both tourism and the service
business. It signifies that the customer can just use/experience the service
and that he is not the owner of the goods or service.
F. Tourism is a seasonal industry, and no single site can be popular all year.
G. Interdependence denotes that people are reliant on one another. Tourism is
a mash-up of various industries such as lodging (hotels, motels, etc. ),
transportation (cars, buses, trains, autos, flights, etc. ), attraction (attractions,
activities), and transportation (cars, buses, trains, autos, flights, etc. ),
attraction (attractions, activities, etc. ), transportation (cars, buses, trains,
autos, flights, etc. ), transportation (cars, buses, trains, autos,
H. We cannot overlook the term risk in tourism because anything can happen
during the trip, so we must be vigilant at all times.

2. How important is Tourism to the economy of the country, the Philippines?

Tourism, in my opinion, is an essential part of our country's economy. We've
discussed how the travel and tourism industry contributes significantly to our
GDP in previous Tourism and Hospitality discussions. It is not a question for me
because our country has many beautiful beaches, heritage towns and
monuments, mountains, rainforests, islands, Filipino foods, and diving spots, all
of which are popular tourist destinations and that I am proud of. Our tourism help
boosts our economy's revenue, assists in the creation of thousands of jobs, aids
in the development of a country's infrastructure, and fosters a sense of cultural
exchange between foreigners and citizens. Also, tourism generates a significant
number of jobs in a variety of industries. As a conclusion, we must promote and
patronize the products, destinations, and attractions of our own country.
