Objective
• To brief about exclusive OTM functionality –Arbitrary Rate and the need for it.
“Normal rate set up will optimize the shipment for all mode of transport which may not be
needed in most of business scenarios as transportation companies main business is through
Sea mode only.
However at the same time they want to track the primary and advanced leg in transporting
goods via other modes (e.g. Rail, Road) .“
Arbitrary rate is an exclusive feature of OTM which will provide a cutting edge solution to
manage this business scenario effectively.

Business Case
• XYZ is a logistics company and it provide the transport service majorly using Sea mode (B to C)
,Hence it becomes logical to optimize the shipment creation activity with focus to Sea mode
only.
• Furthermore it is also important to track advance and beyond legs and cost required for non
sea movement i.e. from A to B , B to C and C to D
Multi Model – without arbitrary concept
Transportation companies have to create dummy rates for planning
advance leg and beyond leg
