History
Far into the future. One human gained the ability to move through the
universe and multiverse unaided. She, Jen Mnoren, used this talent only six
times, then stopped in fright and confusion. But those trips made her
wealthy. Jen and her husband lived life and had children. Children who had
this ability. Three hundred years later, their offspring became rulers of Earth
and conquerors of 371 alternate Earths. All of the other universes honored
their Mnoren rulers.
In this time, the Mnoren ancestors had medical technology that gave them
the power to live for hundreds of years. Almost two thousand years after
Jen’s rst trip, the Mnoren created Cidri. Transplanting farmers, servants,
slaves, plants, animals, thousands of ecologies, from all over the multiverse
to Cidri.
For hundreds of years after, the Mnoren enjoyed their work, and travelled no
more. Why should they, the Mnoren had everything here on Cidri. But, as
with every empire in history, their power began to wane. They handed over
the Mnoren Empire to barons. Soon the few remaining Mnorens were seen
less and less, until ve hundred years later, and all the Mnorens are gone.
Their once great Emprie is now lled with squabbling warlords, bandits, and
would be kings.
