What characteristics you are looking for a leader

It is true that election is around the corner and we are challenge to choose good leaders who has a
fervent concern to his people. In Article 2,bill of rights we have the right to suffrage and able to choose
who we wanted to seat in a certain position. We might say that are we those people who will just vote
because we are obliged or for compliance? Or we are those people who makes this country productive
and progressive by choosing deserving leaders. To choose great leaders was such a good conventional
political participation and I think that most of us are quite interested what a certain candidate could
offer to a country. On my personal view, the characteristics I've been looking for a leader is a person
who is proactive and who will do reforms during his/her administration and exercises good public
service in governance based on his previous experiences. I also look for a leader who is accountable
towards his actions and being transparent enough in all governmental operation. I firmly believe that a
person who is accountable to his action will lead us to good governance. I also look for a leader who is
competent enough to raise effectiveness in policy making and who has fervent consideration to each
political and human rights of the people. As a leader also he must not disregard the rights of the people
even he was superior and vested enough power. One characteristic also I've been looking for is he must
be responsible enough to handle his duties and function as a leader. In public administration, a leader
must mold his subordinates very well as what the administrative bodies requires and mandates. He
must also be strict when it comes to rules and restrictions for public safety. Example : Amid this
pandemic a potential leader must see and consider what people really wants and consider their views in
terms of policy making and has a good word taking up decision within the organization. I found it hard
to choose leaders nowadays since we don't have any idea how willing they are to risk and do everything
for his/ her countrymen. It's hard to find a leader who possess a good character when it comes to
leadership.It is also mentioned in the these module that in public administration it's all about how a
potential leader will be concern in policies , programs and each behavior of officials that matters most
that makes any official being exercise to be responsible in any of political conduct within government
provision. Therefore, we must look for a leader who possess all this traits so that we could have an
amazing country along with public service goal and provision.
