Grade 7 Holiday Homework

Scientists all over the world make new discoveries by using the scientific method. Now, you
can join their ranks! A science project is your chance to choose a subject of interest to you and
study it in the exact same way that a professional scientific researcher would.

Your holiday homework will be any one of the following science project:

 Experimental: You will carry out scientific experiment, using the scientific
method to create a hypothesis and test that hypothesis.
An example of a experimental project would be ‘How does
the concentration of chlorine in water affect the rate or
percentage of seed germination? Or Do Plants grow better
with sunlight or artificial light’
 Working models : You will build a model to illustrate a concept or principle.
An example of a working model project would be Magnetic
Levitating Train/ working of water lever alarm system.
 Research on recent scientific happenings or findings. You collect information
about a topic and present your findings. An example of a
research project would be research on H7N9 viral disease.
