1 Introduction

1.1 General

The corona virus outbreak came into light on dec--1-20'\9 when china informed WHO of a cluster
of cases of pneumonia of an unknown cause in Wuhan city. Subsequentlythe disease
spread to more provinces in china,
and to the rest of the world. The WHO then declared corona virus as a global pandemic. The virus
was then named as SARS-COV-2 and the disease was called COVID-19. Since then the virus has
spread to all the nooks and corners of the globe claiming more and more people with each passing
day. In this perspective we have developed a web application which could make us serve
humanity even if it at a grass roots level.

1
1.2 Motivation

All covid-19 patients, who have recovered from the virus attack & are willing to help other the
Covid-19 patients in plasma therapy, can voluntarily register themselves as plasma donors after the
stipulated waiting period of four weeks from testing negative .
To make things easy for patients & plasma donors ,we would make a web application for plasma
donation since more than 80% of covid -19 infected patients had been recovered by the plasma
therapy in various countries .it would be very helpful application for those people
who are fighting with
pandemic disease.
Medical experts believe that plasma therapy is one of the best possible treatment methods for
covid patients as well as cancer patients.
On this web application, donors & patients can register details including their names, email,
address, contact numbers, blood groups & districts. For donor, an additional column would be
there to check whether the donor meets the basic criteria then register for plasma donation.
When doctors tell you that the patient needs plasma therapy the web application allows you to
match the details on the bases of criteria provided by medical experts.
Suppose there are more than one donors available on the site ,you simply click the given link so
that the donors get notification for their willingness & they reply back on the another link & get the
patients detail like address of the hospital ,room no & contact of the patient etc & do contact with
the patient for plasma donation.
1.3 Aim & Objective - Problem Description

The main aim of the study is to offers such a cross platform web interface which will let anybody to
access the detail contact of potential blood plasma donors around the required location .it
manages all the information about blood cell plasma. The project is totally built at administrative
end and thus only the administrator is guaranteed the access .the purpose of the project is to build
an application program to reduce the manual work for managing the Blood plasma, Donor, Blood
Group, Blood Cell. It tracks all the details about the Blood Group, Blood Bank, Stock.
Plasma donation is one of the best treatments which has shown promise & many patients have
recovered due to plasma therapy. We need more recovered COVID-19 patients to come forward to
donate plasma.
Plasma therapy aims at using antibodies from the blood of recovered COVID-19 patients to treat
those patients who are critically infected & have an urgent need for plasma therapy.

"this is a humanitarian cause" & we are doing this to save precious lives otherwise human kind
gets ruined.

2
Overview of the Proposed System
Doctors can use plasma to treat different kinds of serious health problems.
Some of the elements in plasma, including the antibodies & chemicals that
help your blood to clot, can help in medical emergencies like burns &
trauma.
Other things that plasma donation is good for include:

> Developing treatments:

The antibodies & proteins can also be used to develop treatments for
rare diseases, including leukemia-~sometimes need plasma
transfusions.

> Transplant surgery

Some people who get liver or bone marrow transplants need plasma.
> Hemophilia:

In this rare disorder, a person's blood doesn't have enough clotting

factors, so donated plasma can help.

STRUCTURE OF THE

PROJECT Proposed Systm:-

ln the proposed system the administrator can insert, delete and modify the
patient as per the requirements. The patient reports can be easily
maintained in this system. This project will help to smoother the flexibility and
simplicity to patients, that's the reason online appointment systems are becoming
popular these days.
Module Description:-

1 . Administration Module:-
This is the main module in the proposed project. The administrator can read
and write information about any member such as patients, donors and
doctors.
They can also update, create and delete the record of members as
requirement and implementation plan.

2 . Patient Module:-

lt is used to control patient flow. It can be used to register them, get the data
of the patients' health condition, view the treatment and check the medical
history and reports& get the plasma treatnnent.

3. Plasma Donor Module:-

• Register as a donor
• Provide plasma to the needy patient

jQuery has changed the way that millions of people write JavaScript.

JavaScript: (often shortened to JS) is a lightweight, interpreted, object-

oriented language with first-class functions, and is best known as the
scripting language for Web pages, but it's used in many non-browser
environments as well.
Analysis and Design
Software engineering may be defined as the systematic design and development of software
products and the management of the software process. Software engineering has as one of its
primary objectives the production of programs that meet specifications, and are demonstrably
accurate, produced on time, and within budget.
It is the process of analyzing user needs and designing, constructing, and testing end user
applications that will satisfy these needs through the use of software programming languages. It is
the application of engineering principles to software development. In contrast to simple
programming, software engineering is used for larger and more complex software systems, which
are used as critical systems for businesses and organizations.

A software engineer takes the software needs of end users into account and
consequently develops or designs new applications. Furthermore, software engineering may involve the
process of analyzing existing software and modifying it to meet current application needs. Large software
systems may be more complex than the hardware used to run them, so there is great
demand forbest practices and engineering
processes that can be applied to software development. There must be discipline and control during
software engineering.
There are four fundamental phases in most, if not all, software engineering
methodologies. These phases are analysis, design, implementation, and testing. These phases
address what is to be built, how it will be built, building it, and making it high quality.
Systems development is systematic process which includes phases such
as planning, analysis, design, deployment, and maintenance. Here, in this
tutorial, we will primarily focus on -
Systems analysis
Systems design
Systems Analysis
It is a process of collecting and interpreting facts, identifying the problems, and decomposition of a
system into its components.
System analysis is conducted for the purpose of studying a system or its parts in order to identify
its objectives. It is a problem solving technique that improves the system and ensures that all the
components of the system work efficiently to accomplish their purpose.

Systems Design

It is a process of planning a new business system or replacing an existing system by defining its
components or modules to satisfy the specific requirements. Before planning, you need to
understand the old system thoroughly and determine how computers can best be used in order to
operate efficiently.
System Design focuses on how to accomplish the objective of the system.
Iterative Incremental Model
The project is based on Object Oriented approach using Iterative
Incremental Model.
Iterative and incremental software development is a method of software development that is
modeled around a gradual increase in feature additions Iterative and incremental software
development begins with planning and continues through iterative development cycles involving
continuous user feedback and the incremental addition of features concluding with the deployment
of completed software at the end Of each cycle.
It is one of the methodologies of agile software
development, rational
unified process and extreme programming.
Iterative and incremental development is a discipline for developing systems based on producing
deliverables. In incremental development,
different parts of the system are developed at various times or rates and are integrated based on
their completion. In iterative development, the plan is to revisit parts of the system in order to
revise and improve them. User feedback is consulted to modify the targets for successive
deliverables.
Pert chart:
Describes the activities into which the project is divided. It also describes the milestones and
deliverables of the project activities.
ANALYSIS) MODEL
The model that is basically being followed is the INCREMENTAL MODEL,
in this model, each module goes through the requirements, design,
implementation and testing phases. Every subsequent release of the
module adds function to the previous release. The process continues until
the complete system achieved
• Requirement analysis
• Design & Development
• Testing
• Implementation

3.3lncremental model

Incremental model is an evolution of waterfall model. The product is

designed, implemented, integrated and tested as a series of incremental
builds. It is a popular model software evolution used many commercial
software companies and system vendor. Incremental software development
model may be applicable to projects where:

• Software Requirements are well defined, but realization may be

delayed.
• The basic software functionality is required early.

Features of incremental model:

• Generates working software quickly and early during the software life
cycle.
• More flexible - less costly to change scope and requirements.
• Easier to test and debug during a smaller iteration.

• Customer can respond to each built.

• Lowers initial delivery cost.

• Easier to manage risk because risky pieces are identified and
handled during it'd iteration.

The whole requirement is divided into various builds. Multiple development

cycles take place here making the life cycle a multi-waterfall cycle. Cycles
are divided up into smaller, more easily managed modules. Each module
passes through the requirements, design, implementation and testing
phases. A working version of software is produced during the first module,
so you have working software early on during the software life cycle. Each
subsequent release of the module adds function to the previous release.
The process continues till the complete system is achieved.

when we work incrementally, we are adding piece by piece but expect that
each piece is fully finished. Thus, keep on adding the pieces until it's
complete. As in the image above a person has thought of the application.
Then he started building it and in the first iteration the first module of the
application or product is totally ready and can be demoed to the customers.
Likewise, in the second iteration the other module is ready and integrated
with the first module. Similarly, in the third iteration the whole product is
ready and integrated. Hence, the product got ready step by step.

When to use the Incremental Model:

• Risk, funding, schedule, program complexity, or need for early

realization of Benefits.
• Most of the requirements are known up-front but are expected to
evolve over time.
• A need to get basic functionality to the market early.
• On projects which have lengthy development schedules.
• On a project with new technology.

Incremental Model Advantages:

• Develop high-risk or major functions first.

• Each release delivers an operational Product.
• Customer can respond to each build.
• Uses "divide and conquer" breakdown of tasks.
• Lowers initial delivery cost.
• Initial product delivery is faster.
• Customers get important functionality early.
• Risk of changing requirements is reduced.

Incremental Model disadvantages:

• Requires good planning and design

• Requires early definition of a complete and fully functional system to
alow for the definition of increments.

• Well-defined module interfaces are required (some will be developed

long before others).
• Total cost of the complete system is not lower.

Technology Used

This is an important software that we will be using in the project. The

increasing popularity of "PHP" is probably due to its many desirable
qualities. PHP is a server-side scripting language designed for web
development but also used as a general-purpose programming language.

What is PHP?

• PHP is an acronym for "PHP Hypertext Pre-processor".

• PHP is a widely-used, open-source scripting language.
• PHP scripts are executed on the server.
• PHP costs nothing, it is free to download and use.
PHP as an amazing and popular language!
It is powerful enough to be at the core of the biggest blogging system on the
web (Word Press)!
It is deep enough to run the largest social network (Facebook)!
It is also easy enough to be a beginner's first server-side language!

What can PHP Do?

• PHP can generate dynamic page content.
• PHP can create, open, read, write, delete, and close files on the
server.
• PHP can collect form data.
• PHP can send and receive cookies.
• PHP can add, delete and modify data in your database.
• PHP can restrict users to access some pages on your website.
• PHP can encrypt data.
Why PHP:
• PHP runs on various platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mac OS X,
etc.).
• PHP is compatible with almost all servers used today (Apache, IIS,
etc.).
• PHP supports a wide range of databases.
• PHP is easy to learn and runs efficiently on the server's id.

MYSQL
• MySQL is a database system used on the web.
• MySQL is a database system that runs on a server.
• MySQL is ideal for both small and large applications.
• MySQL is very fast, reliable, and easy to use.
• MySQL supports standard SQL.
• MySQL compiles on a number of platforms.
• MySQL is free to download and use.
• MySQL is developed, distributed, and supported by Oracle
Corporation.
The data in MySQL is stored in tables. A table is a collection of related data,
and it consists of columns and rows. Databases are useful when storing
information categorically.
css
What Is CSS?
CSS is a form of communication used to dilate the display of a website
mark-up language like HTML or XHTML as it determines such features as
its fonts, layouts, spacing and colors, to name just a few. Basically, CSS is
used to take the content tou already have and make it look more attractive;
it is a language used to increase expressive style and creativity. 49 One of
the favoured features is its ability to allow the sorting of document content
written in mark-up languages (like HTML) from document presentation
written in CSS.
Advantages of CSS in website design
1. Search Engine Optimization
When you incorporate CSS into your website design, you will soon discover
that search engines will have the aptitude to locate you much easier since
CSS features a coding technique that is clear-cut and simple to read.
Search engines will no longer have to struggle to comprehend your website
content. The advantage of improved accessibility of content will allow a
broader number of users to locate you on the Internet. Less code and more
content equals search engine success.

2. Browser Compatibility
Browser compatibility is very important and CSS addresses this issue
nicely. When you decide to use CSS, you will find that it will improve the
characteristic of your website while securing your visitors with the capacity
to view your website as precisely as you have designed it to be.
3. Appearance
CSS makes it easy to improve the appearance of a website by allowing you
to create a much more stylish website since CSS offers a wide array of
expressive style capableness.

4. Maintainability
One of the convenient features that CSS produces is the consistency it
provides when you want to make changes to a website. When a change is
made to your website's CSS Style Sheet, ,ou will have the ability to
automatically correct or change every page throughout your website-- all at
once. You do not have to go in to each individual web page to make a
particular change as CSS will instantly do i for you. If your website is rather
large, this one simple feature will save you ample time; and time is money.
5. Bandwidth Savings
Once CSS takes apart your websites content from its design language, you
will trim down your file transfer magnitude significantly. These Bandwidth
savings are considerable figures of insignificant tags that are distracted
from a multitude of pages. This will leave less, but more significant
captions, listings and paragraphs.
JAVA Script What is Java script?
Java is a full-featured programming language (like C++) that is used to
build client-side and server-side applications. A client-side application is a
program that you interact with directly on your computer-for example,
Microsoft Internet Explorer.
A server-side application is a program that your client-side application.
Interacts with, typically on a distant computer or server-for example, a Java
appletor Perl script. For example, your browser is a client-side application
that you use to request web pages from the web server. The web server
is a server-side application that "Talks" to your browser.

Features OF Java Script

We can do many things using JavaScript that you can't do by simply using
HTML.
Here are a few of them:
• Build dynamic web pages
• Display alert bo xes
• Write messages to the browser status bar
• Control features of the browser
• Open new browser windows
• Customize reactions to mouse actions and keystrokes
• Validate information in forms
• Perform calculations
• Create interactive forms
• Set date and time
Identify browsers and browser plug-ins such as Flash:
• Read files from your hard disk-except for cookies.
• Close windows other than those the JavaScript application opened.
• Write server-side applications, called Common Gateway Interface
(CGI) applications, which must be written using languages such as
Java, ASP, Perl, and PHP.
Read information from a web page that resides on a domain different from
the domain where the JavaScript:

BOOTSTRAP
Build responsive, mobile-first projects on the web with the world's most
popular front-end component library. Bootstrap is an open-source toolkit for
developing with HTML, CSS, and JS. Quickly prototype your ideas or build
your entire app with our Sass variables and mixings, responsive grid
system, extensive prebuilt components, and powerful plug-in built on
jQuery.

Design and Analysis

Design & Analysis is the process or art of defining the architecture,

components, modules, interfaces, and data for a system to satisfy specified
requirements. Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methods are
becoming the most widely used methods for computer system design. The
UML has become the standard language used in Object -oriented analysis
and design. It is widely used for modelling software systems and is
increasingly used for high designing no software systems and organizations.
System design & analysis is a management procedure which helps us in
designing a new system or civilizing an existing system. During analysis
phase, a problem or opportunity associated with the system is identified, the
strengths and weaknesses of the old system are examined, and what a
new system could accomplish is determined. "There is nothing more difficult
to take in hand more unsafe to conduct or more uncertain in its
success, that to take the lead in the introduction of a new Tender of
things." The word 'system' is possibly the most over
used term in the technical
dictionary speaking of political systems and educational systems, etc. the
word tells little about the system to understand the framework in which the
word is used. The dictionary defines the system in the following way;
• A set or arrangement of things so related as to form a unity or organic
whole;
• A set of facts, principles rules, etc." classified and arranged in a
tenderly form so as to show a logical plan linking the various parts.
• A method or plan classification or arrangement;
• An establishment way of doing something; method; procedure.
To accomplish the goal of Data communication and networking the
computer-based system makes use of a variety of system elements;
One complicating characteristics of the systems is that the elements
constituting the system also represent one macro-element. The macro
element is the part of a larger computer system. Thus, the role of the
system analysis is to define the elements f o r a specific system in
framework of the overall hierarchy of the system. A high technology system
encompasses a number of elements as described above; it helps to
translate the needs of the user into a model of that system that makes user
of one or more of these elements.
This analysis begins by taking a world view, as analysis to create all basic
requirements. Spotlight on them is narrowed to a domain view, where each
of the elements in lieu of modules is analysed individually, each of them is
allocated to one of more components which are then addressed by the
relevant disciplines.
System analysis demands powerful communication between the user and
the external environment where it exits. This is achieved through a set of
activities that are specified as requirements; Elicitation, Analysis, and
cooperation, specification, Modelling validation and Management.
After requirements have been isolated, a system model is produced and
representation of each subsystem can be developed. The system analysis
task culminates with the creation of the system specification; a document
that forms the foundation for all engineering works that follows.
