Outline how the structure of cellulose makes it suitable as a component of cell walls.

Cellulose consists of straight chains of beta glucose which are covalently bonded to each
other by 1-4 glycosidic linkages. Cellulose molecules form microfibrils which are held
together by hydrogen bonds, creating high tensile strength.
