Details about enforcement of safe operation
Inspection records
Type of maintenance records

2) What type of things will an Inspector ask a Forklift Operator?


What training they’ve received and what hazards they might encounter. What measures
and procedures are in place for reporting and what accidents have they experienced.

3) Once an Operator is certified they do not to be recertified if they go to another


workplace.

4) What kind of things must be checked during an inspection? List a few issues that you
have encountered in your workplace.
Headlights/tail lights/ safety lights
Condition of tires/seats mast/ forks

5) What type of information would you find on a Capacity Plate?


Weight of the machine, lifting capacity, tire size, fork size

6) What 2 actions are discussed that may occur when a contravention is found? What do
YOU believe may be an example of both?
Issue an order or put a stop work order in place
An order may be similar to a traffic ticket for having a headlight burnt out, a small fine
and it must be fixed whereas a stop work order would be more severe like having your
vehicle put out of service until it can be re inspected in addition to the fines
