EC300 Diagnostic LED Flash Codes
Starting with EC300 Release 1.00 software, various failure conditions, which were previously shown only on the optional display unit,
are now also indicated by a flash code on either the yellow Neutral LED or the red Station Select LED, depending upon the severity of
the error. Until the EC300 Installation and Operator’s Manual is updated, this document defines flash codes.
Each flash code is three digits. Each digit ranges from 2 to 7. The following example shows timing for the diagnostic code “231”
which indicates “Oil Temperature High” as defined in the following table.
Neut
LED
150 mSec Off
4700 mSec
1250 mSec
2650 mSec
Most flashing diagnostic codes are shown only in neutral by flashing the Neutral LED. A maximum of one diagnostic code at a time
is shown and it is always the code for the first fault detected.
Some severe failure conditions put the EC300 into Controller Neutral, a condition in which the Neutral LED is off and Forward or
Reverse clutches can not be engaged. In Controller Neutral, the red Station Active LED flashes to indicate the first failure detected
which is most likely the cause of the Controller Neutral condition.

* The first message alternates with the main status display. The second message shows more detail and is
shown for 2 seconds after a double button press. For example,
"TRAN SYS
FAULT" /
"INPT SPD
SHORT"
means that "TRAN SYS FAULT" flashes on the display. When both UP and DOWN arrow buttons on the
display are simultaneously pressed, the detail message "INPT SPD SHORT" is shown for 2 seconds.
