BACKGROUND ON THE STUDY

OF ETHICS
Explain what value you picked up from the poem, "Life Is What We
Make It."

"Be Positive" is the virtue that I acquired or picked up from the poem
"Life Is What We Make It." Everyone wishes to be content in their lives.
We all wish to live a happy life. I know that in order to keep a positive
outlook on life, I must never take anything too seriously. I want to be a
positive person for the rest of my life. I believe I will be happier if I
remember to make the most of my life. I always try to make the most of a
bad situation. Because life is so short, I try to maintain a positive
mindset. I definitely feel like I'm living my life today, rather than just
existing. It also feels pleasant, free, and genuine.

The point of life is not to be happy, but to make a difference, to be

productive, to be useful, to make a difference that you've lived at all.
That is the way we ought to live. We create our own lives.

We need to learn how to deal with or handle disappointment. In doing

so, we should strive to avoid regrets, bitterness, dissatisfaction, or
anything else bad.

.
"And then I realized
that to be more alive
I had to be less afraid
so I did it…
I lost my fear
and gained my whole life."
