In order to provide for a uniform design that will identify DPWH Office Buildings, a
standard plan of District Engineering Office (DEO) Building is hereby prescribed.
Henceforth, the following guidelines shall be observed in the construction/
renovation of DEO Buildings:

1. For the construction of a new DEO Building, in order to maximize the use of
the lot area for other purposes, the attached standard plan of Two-Storey
Standard DPWH DEO Building, applicable for a 1st / 2nd Class (Annex A-l
and A-2) and 3rd Class (Annex B-1 and B-2) DEO, shall be adopted. The
location of offices, office space requirements, exterior design features and
color scheme (Annex C) as shown in the floor plans and perspective shall
be strictly adhered to.

2. As much as possible, the minimum front setback from the property line of
the proposed DEO building should be 15.00 m to provide space for
driveway and assembly place of personnel during flag-raising ceremonies.

3. In case the standard plan cannot be accommodated in a proposed site of

the new DEO Building, the concerned DEO shall submit to the Bureau of
Design (BOD) the lot plan indicatinq its technical descriptions, contour lines
and existing structures/utility lines, if any, for design modification.

4. For the renovation of existing DEO buildings and other existing DPWH
buildings which are proposed to be converted to DEO office, the exterior
design features and color scheme shall conform to the standard plan.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
