Kaye's world is to some degree distinctive from the community quarantine we

are encountering right now during the widespread. Kaye's strange world does not
include any social contact with other individuals, and she does not like going outside.
She uses her time in reading books, tuning in to music, and covering up in that dark
room of hers. Compared to our quarantine, it is the same as Kaye’s, that social contact
is not allowed. This quarantine helped and protected us for the COVID-19. Being able
to stay indoors and prohibited to go outdoors made us all disciplined and gave
benefits to the environment. The hikikomori state of Kaye is quite similar but also
quite different to our community quarantine. It is quite similar because we are now
living isolated from other people. It is quite different because Kaye chose to be
isolated. She chose to not engage herself with other people instead she engages in
things that she is only involved in. She is anti-social. Unlike us who live isolated in
our homes, we are just forced to. We are forced because we need to stay at our homes
to avoid the virus.
