data that is based on student academics. The goals that are found in the document focus on
student growth in reading and incorporating best teaching practices. Data is collected from
teachers from their action plans, state testing, and student work. Action plans are created for
new or struggling teachers. The data shows what improvement needs to be made to help
students achieve academic success. The goals show how the schools plans on achieving them
such as differentiated instruction and providing teachers with coaches and support. Professional
development will be provided to target areas found in the report. For example, one goal is that
students will meet their reading levels according to the Fountas and Pinnell correlation chart.
Teachers will receive training or support with that program. Additionally, instructional strategies
are listed such as guided reading groups and tiered activities. Data will be collected from student
running records that test their reading level to determine what is working and what will be to be
changed.
The Annual Report shows ways to incorporate data and best practices to benefit student
growth. There is continuous improvement by implementing what works into the school
programs and daily practices found in classrooms. Accommodations and modifications are
provided for teachers and students as the year progresses. The new data is collected and
reviewed for the following year. This is how goals are determined for the report and how
students maintain academics to set out the mission and vision of the school.
