To recognize the different professions SS can have in the future

A. Future is so easy, so let’s learn about present continuous: you use it when something is happening NOW, for
example you are reading in this precise moment, so you use ING in the second verb. Present continuous for the
future is a kind of future but it is so easy too, because you are using th same continuous but you use other
words that represent future… like tomorrow, next week and more. Here is a chart that explain you better… don’t
forget to copy this chart on your notebook. Look…

B. Decide if each sentence is the present continuous or the present continuous for the future and then tell me why in
each case.

C. Your friend is inviting you to do a variety if activities, but your calendar is full. Decline your friend’s invitations using
the informations on your calendar and the present continuous tense for future.

1. Do you want to come with me to see a movie on the 13th? Ex. I’m sorry I can’t. I am fishing with my dad on that day.
2. Would you like to eat dinner with my family on the 24th?
3. Can you go shopping with me on the 15th?
4. Are you busy on the 27th?
5. Would you like to go to a concert on the 20th?

D. We were rememering some professions, right? Now here you have a reading about occupations. Please Read it, don’t
copy it.
After reading about these different professions, choose which one you would prefer to become in the future, and record
a little video yourself explaining your choice. Why would you not want to become the other profession? You can use
resources or kind of scenography, posters or clothes for helping you. The video has to be short less than a minute
