History of Sitio Abunciang

Long time ago, there was a married couple we lived in a faraway land.
This land is surrounded of many trees and grasses this place lived few houses, Butt this family,
they lived for a long time.
Saturnino Abesamis Sr.and is wife Nervecia have five children. Her wife Nervacia is a simple
woman, Saturnino is a working man. Saturnine called his wife “Asiang”.
Saturnino was the first person who made “ASINAN” this job make Satunrnino make his
dream.He had a big dream he wanted to be a riches person in his place but he need more land
to develope to make “Asinan”. He decided to cut th trees and grasses to burned it. He make
more “Asinan” at that time. And he continue his studies too. Until he finished his course
Veterinary Medicine. Suddenly he become a riches man. Because of his patience and
perseverance.
Days passed he wanted more land for their “ASINAN” they need again to cut trees and burned
it until it make ashes. Saturnine and his wife Asiang worked together in their asinan, until such
time the place had many family and more Asinan.
During the year 1972, Saturnino Abesamis donated 565 sq. m. land for the worker and few friends. The
people decided to used land for their children, they worked together to build the school Building.

Now Saturnino Abesamis called his place “Abunciang” it is drived from the words “ABU” which means
ashes of burn the trees and grasses. “CIANG”is drived from the nickname of his wife “Aciang” is a
Bolinao Language. Now Abunciang is declared as a Sitio of San Miguel. The distance from Bani to
Abunciang Elem. School is 8 klms, People can walk and ride a motor boat to reach the people.
