1. You have been placed on the waiting list for admission to the integrated first degree
programmes as per preferences given in your application form.
2. As you may be aware, among all the candidates to whom firm offers of admission are made,
some do not pay fees or report for admission. Hence a certain number of candidates are kept
on the waiting list and considered for admission in place of those candidates to whom firm
offers are made but do not accept the same. As candidates in the admission forms give
preferences to the programmes of their choice out of a number of given programmes, as a
matrix, it is not possible to predict the exact chance of admission for the candidates on the
waiting list. Since admissions to different programmes are made through a combined process,
it is not possible to assign waiting list numbers to each of the candidate since the waitlist
position will vary for different programmes depending on the way in which candidates have
given their preferences. However, you are advised to check the following website, which will
give latest information on the cut-off scores for admission, which may help you in making some
estimate on your chances. https://www.bitsadmission.com
3. If you wish to maintain your name on the waiting list, please make a payment of Rs.
48,100/- as per the below details:
Please read carefully 'refund of fees clause' mentioned below under item no. 8 before making
payment.
The fee payment can be made in one of the following modes:
(i) Payment through Net banking: The facility of net banking is available on all the payment
gateways (Paytm, PayU) * in the acceptance form through which you can pay the total requisite
amount on or before September 2, 2021 (5.00 P.M. IST).
(ii) Payment through credit and debit card: The facility of payment through credit card and debit
card is available on all the payment gateways (Paytm, PayU) * in the acceptance form through
which you can pay the total requisite amount on or before September 2, 2021 (5.00 P.M. IST).
Candidates are advised to carefully check the transaction charges to be paid by
him/her while using credit card mode of the payment.
*Both the payment gateways are having the facilities like debit card, credit card, UPI and net
banking.
(iii) RTGS/NEFT: If you choose to pay through RTGS/NEFT, please use the following bank

image of receipt through your login on BITS Admissions portal.
4. On September 4, 2021, after removing the names of candidates who have not paid fees
before the deadline (i.e. September 2, 2021), another iteration (Iteration-II) of
programme assignment will be done and some of the candidates may slide up to their
higher preference. You must check your latest assignment after Iteration-II on
September 4, 2021. If you are selected for admission to any of the programmes, you
will be required to pay the balance of admissions and one semester fees (i.e., Rs.
2,18,500/-) and an additional amount of Rs. 3,450/- towards the caution deposit and
Students' union fees with a total amount of Rs. 2,21,950/- through any one of the above
modes on or before September 11, 2021 (5.00 PM IST). Detailed fees structure is
available at: https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdfee202122.aspx. Mode of fee payment is
as given in item (3).
5. For further iteration dates and deadlines, you should visit BITS admission website.

6. At the end of any iteration, if you are offered an admission, you need to pay the balance
fee Rs. 2,21,950/- (i.e. balance fee of Rs. 2,18,500 plus additional amount of Rs. 3,450/-
as stated above) to retain the seat. Please check item no: 3 for knowing the payment
modes.
If your Wait List offer is converted to a confirmed offer at the time of iteration II &
III and you have paid the requisite fees as per the announced date, you have to
complete all admissions related formalities on September 28, 2021 (10.00 AM to
2.00 PM). The details will be announced in due course of time at the website:
www.bitsadmission.com.
7. Currently the semester is planned to be conducted via online classes since the campuses
are not open for students. As and when the campuses open for students, the students
will be required to pay the Hostel fees, Mess electricity advance and other advances,
which shall be communicated separately. Also, all students are required to join Group
Medical Insurance, the details of which will be communicated to them separately, after
their admissions.

candidate has to submit the required details for refund on admission website. Please note
that the refund request will be accepted only through online mode, portal for which will
be available from October 15 to 20, October 2021.
b) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees
but withdraws his or her application by October 20, 2021, his/her admission will be
cancelled and the total amount of fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her
by November 5, 2021. Please note that the refund request will be accepted only through
online mode, portal for which will be available from October 15 to 20, October 2021.
c) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees but
withdraws after October 20, 2021 and on or before October 31, 2021, his/her admission
will be cancelled and the total amount of fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to
him/her in due course of time as mentioned under item no. (f). Please note that the refund
request will be accepted only through online mode, portal for which will be available at the
admission website.
d) If a candidate accepts the admission offer but withdraws on or before December 31, 2021,
he/she will forfeit Rs. 1000/- towards processing charges and his/her admission will stand
cancelled. The remaining amount will be refunded in due course of time as mentioned
under item no. (f). Please note that the refund request will be accepted only through online
mode, portal for which will be available at the admission website.
e) If a candidate accepts the admission offer but withdraws after December 31, 2021, he/she
will forfeit 100% of the total fees paid at the time of admission except caution deposit.
f) All applicable refunds will be completed within 30 days from December 31, 2021.
II. If the Institute is not able to offer admission to a wait-listed candidate in any of
programmes of his/her preferences as specified in his/her application form, the total
amount of fee paid will be refunded to him/her in due course of time.
III. While remitting fees, no candidate can stipulate any conditions such as changing order of
preferences, addition/deletion of preferences etc. Even if any such conditions are
mentioned while remitting fees, these will be ignored.

provisional. The provisional offer will be confirmed after fulfilling the
following conditions. If the information given by you are found incorrect, your
admission will be cancelled at any stage. Please also refer to BITS admissions website
for more details:
1. Verification for correctness of information you have provided in the application
form, academic records including your 10+2 Marks;
2. Meeting the eligibility requirements of Grade 12 as given below;
i) You have passed the 12th examination or its equivalent in the year 2020 or 2021
and
ii) You have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th year examination, with at least
60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
Please note that PCM/B (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology) marks
obtained in the 12th year only shall be considered for the offer allotment and
11th year marks shall not be considered in your allotment even if your board
includes the 11th year marks in the mark sheet.
Further this is subject to the condition that the student should have taken all
the required subjects to pass the exam in one sitting. If you have taken
improvement exam in selected subjects, then those marks should not be
included in calculating the aggregate percentage to meet the above
requirement. The acceptance of admission/waitlist offer (if any) by the
candidate would mean that the candidate confirms that he/she meets all the
eligibility criteria and he/she has submitted his/her 10+2 marks correctly.
b) You will be interacting with one of the senior faculty members of the respective
Campus on September 28, 2021 or later depending on timeline given in your
confirmed offer. This will be done through video conferencing, and therefore you
should be at a location from where you can connect to BITS through Internet. Details
of the links etc. will be sent before the event. This interview/interaction will not change
your merit order. However, if you fail to show up for the interview/interaction, your
admission will automatically be cancelled.
c) A candidate will be finally admitted only if he/she is declared medically fit by a
registered medical practitioner (Refer to proforma below for details).
d) The admission will be followed by Freshmen Orientation Program conducted by the
respective campuses (through online mode) on September 29, 2021 or later
depending on timeline given in your confirmed offer. You must attend it.
e) All admitted students are required to undergo an online registration process with their
respective campuses on September 30, 2021 or later depending on timeline
given in your confirmed offer, wherein they will be registering for all the required
courses of First Semester 2021-22 in online mode. The detailed process flow of online
registration will be shared with all the students by the respective Campuses.
f) Classwork begins as per the registration of courses (through online mode) on October
1, 2021 or later depending on timeline given in your confirmed offer.
g) Candidates who wish to be considered for Institute’s merit-cum-need scholarship will
be required to submit the latest Income Certificate of their parents/guardians along
with their application for scholarship. If both the parents of the candidate are
employed, he/she should submit Income Certificates of both from their respective
employers. These certificates should not be dated earlier than April 01, 2021.

opted out of those programmes. Until all admissions for First Semester 2021-2022
are completed, any vacancy in any programme caused by non-acceptance of the
offers will be filled by offering the vacant seat to the next candidate in the order of
merit. This process is called ‘Sliding-Up’. According to the Institute rules, your
acceptance of the admission offer implies that you will be automatically considered
for sliding up to programme of higher preference as indicated in your application
form, unless you have specifically opted out of all higher preferences while paying
the fees.
