To whom it may concern:

I would like to apply for the lead preschool teacher position for the upcoming 2021-2022 school
year. I graduated from Alma College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. My major is Elementary
Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood General and Special Education.

I believe in creating a classroom that supports developmentally appropriate practice in order to

meet the academic and social emotional needs of all students. I believe in utilizing students’
interests to develop in line with curriculum standards and I am dedicated to providing as many
hands-on, real life experiences as possible. I prefer a classroom environment that is comfortable
and inviting to students, families, and colleagues. Throughout my time at Alma College and my
six years of teaching, I have gained work experience in classroom settings ranging from
Preschool to 5 grade. In that time, I have also become very familiar with the Creative
th

Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD.

In addition to my education coursework, I have been trained and certified in three programs to
teach children about the outdoors and science - Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, WOW! The
Wonders of the Wetlands, and Energy and Society. Not only am I certified to educate children
about nature, but I also acquired strong managerial skills. I have taken two courses from Western
Michigan University to acquire three CEU’s in administration. As a result of my employment as
a director at Ellsworth Community Schools and Boyne City Preschool, I have become very
knowledgeable of licensing rules. Being in an administrative position allowed for my
management and organization skills to grow.

Attached is a resume of my coursework. I look forward to hearing from you and other staff in
response to my application.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Hannah Hybl Reynolds
