Whatdoesbehaviorchangelooklikeinthebrain?
Neuralpathways,comprisedofneuronsconnectedbydendrites,arecreated
thebrainbascdonourhabitsandbchaviors.Thcnu mbcrofdendritcsincreaseswiththefrequeney
abehaviorisperformed.Ipicturetheseneuralpathwaysasdeepgroovesorroadsinourbrain.Ourbr
aincellscommunicatewitheachotherviaa processcalled"neuronalfiring."
PsychologistDeannWare,Ph.D.,explainsthatwhenbraincellscommunicatefrequently,thecon

ndwhattheywouldbedoingiftheirdiabetes wasmanaged.
