Hey can I ask a question?

Do know something about the importance of work and function of a social scientist? If no let me tell you
something about it ok?

There‘s one species in all of our planet’s history that has had far more
impact on its trajectory than any other, and that’s us.

In order to be able to forecast where the human race might be heading

and taking the rest of the world with it, an understanding of the role of
social scientists is a must.

Social science offers an insight into society and the relationships

between individuals within that society.

It is a broad field, encompassing sociology, history, geography, political

science, psychology, anthropology, and law.

So why is it important?
That’s Because social sciencetist focusses on the social advancement of humanity,
they are responsible for working alongside governments, social services, the media, and
UN organizations to influence the work of the big decision-makers. They are partly
responsible for new laws and regulations that govern how we work and live.

SO you must be thinking isn’t social scientist and applied social science practioner are
the same?
Well, let me explain

A social scientist would most likely conduct research in the social sciences, such as
sociology, demography, psychology, etc. An applied social science practitioner would work
directly with people and apply their knowledge of social science to their career. The most
common example is a clinical psychologist, who applies their knowledge of psychology in
their sessions with clients.
