Packer Cup Test – 9-5/8” Packer Cup Line – 80 Durometer Nitrile 1

Conclusion
Based on the performance test, which shows the packer cup was holding pressures up to
8,500 psi and then applying a greater than 2:1 safety factor, Global Elastomeric Products
Inc. rates these test proven packer cups at 4,000 psi.

The cup that was used for the test was a 9-5/8” x 4.53” 47/53#.
Part number E109582WR45318.
These pressure ratings can be applied to all standard / non-machined packer cups with a
4.53” ID for the 9-5/8” Packer Cup line.
The weight ranges included are:
36/43#
40/47#
47/53#

This test was conducted at a 3rd party test facility in a controlled environment, using lab
equipment. The actual performance of the cup may or may vary in downhole applications
due to the wide variety of conditions and the many different “uses” packer cups are given to
perform.
