MATH 213 (Differential Equations)
MATH 213 DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION
Course : This course is intended for all engineering students
to have a firm foundation on differential equations in
preparation for their degree-specific advanced mathematics
courses. It covers the first order differential equations,
application of differential equations to problems in
engineering, 𝑛𝑡ℎ order linear differential equations and
systems of first order linear differential equations. It
introduces the concept of Laplace Transforms in solving
differential equations.
Number of Units: 3 units lecture
Number of Contact: 3 hrs.
Pre-requisite: Integral Calculus
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
AFTER COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, THE STUDENTS MUST
BE ABLE TO;

1. Recognize the different kinds of differential equations,


2. Select the appropriate methods of finding the solution of
differential equations,
3. Determine the solution of differential equations
4. Apply differential equation to various engineering
problems.
