Figure \ref{fig:Picture86} and Figure \ref{fig:Picture87} illustrate the behavior of the

UPRM microgrid system as a result of a real-time simulation. Key electrical parameters

in the PCC, such as voltages in p.u (per unit) and system frequency in Hz (Hertz) were
simulated during 100 ms of the period, even so, transition mode only comprises among
20ms and 60ms, because in the simulation of this system inside Digsilent software was
programmed. Although, in real life, the time of a transition operation is major than in the
simulations upon digsilent software.

On the one hand, during this transition mode, the feeder-A displays three thresholds or
peak frequency as 231.2 Hz, -69.4 Hz, and 125.8 Hz, from 20 ms until 32 ms
approximately. Those peaks frequency aforementioned occur in all main feeders at the
same time. In this scenario the frequency relay did not operate, owing to the MGCCS is
executing our adaptive algorithm timely manner, to keeping turn-on on the DER of our
microgrid system and avoid a blackout caused by overload microgrid. As well as,
overcurrent relay protection shall not operate, despite increasing the current via this
feeder-A.

On the other hand, during this transition mode, the feeder-B displays three thresholds or
peak frequency as 237 Hz, -69.4 Hz, and 120.8 Hz, from the 20 ms until 32 ms
approximately. However, in this feeder-B shall not be energized because above this bus
there are several loads and our DER does not connect to the Feeder-B directly. For
those reasons, during 21ms and 32ms this Feeder-B is shutting down and its current is
zero. Furthermore, above this feeder-B appear overcurrent, such as 1.231kA and -0.685
kA owing to the insertion of the capacitor bank, that overcurrent are considered hazards
for any electrical equipments.

That is why our microgrid system to maintain energized the Feeder-A exactly, during the
first interval of time that comprises from 20ms until 32ms. At the end of 32 ms of real-
time simulation the system frequency decrease its damping, therewithal is necessary
the insertion of feeder-B, but a problem occurs due to above this feeder-B there are
various loads so that it to be energized is essential the injection of capacitor bank of one
step by a short period. In other words, we inject reactive power to this feeder-B of 0.5
MVAR capacity upon the 37 ms of the simulation period.

The isolated scenario was obtained after 60 milliseconds of simulation by way of this
reactive power injection, in which the system’s frequency is damped, where the system
frequency achieves the allowable ranges, that it could be pertaining to the voltage
ranges described in the IEEE 1547 standard. Eventually, this event is successfully
developed in the MGCCS, which was scheduled by we into MatLab and DigSilent.
