 The process of industrialization has led to changes in family structures.

 The institution of marriages is in decline in modern industrial society.

 Marriage has less importance on modern industrial societies than it has in traditional societies.

 Families may contribute to gender inequalities.

 Families may no longer patriarchal in modern industrial societies.

 Conjugal roles have become integrated in modern industrial societies.

 Often men are prioritized in a marriage and wife’s role and contribution towards the family is

not recognized.

 Education systems in modern industrial societies help to maintain power of the ruling class.
