GUIDELINES FOR THE REPORT

Subject: Corporate Finance

I. Format and Presentation of the Report


The report should satisfy the basis requirements include:
- It is presented in A4 paper. The standard font Times New Roman should
be used and the point size should be 13. Line spacing should be 1.3. The
left-hand margins should be 2.5 cm, the right-hand margin should be 1.5
cm. The top and bottom margins of each page should be 2.0 cm. Page
numbering should be included at the bottom of every page, except the
title page.
- The report should be no longer than 10 pages, excluding tables, graphs,
references and appendices.
- The cover page should be presented as following:

Present the importance of the study, the objectives of the study, the
scope of the study and the structure of the report. (maximum of 1 page)
- Part 1: Theories of the research topic (maximum of 3 page)

1.3. Factors affecting the research topic
- Part 2: The situation of the research topic at the X company
(maximum of 8.5 pages)
II.1. Overview of the X company (maximum of 1.5 pages)
Provide a summary of the firm’s business, its history, recent
developments and recent performance.
II.2. The situation of the research topic (maximum of 6 pages)
In this section, students should collect data, calculate financial ratios,
analyse, provide arguments and draw conclusion about the situation of
the research topic at the X company.
II.3. Assessment of the research topic at the X company (maximum
of 1 page)
Assess and find out the result and limitation
- Part 3: Suggested solutions (maximum of 2 pages)
Based on the firm’s weaknesses found in part 2, relevant solutions are
suggested to the firm.
Conclusion (maximum of 0.5 page)
Include a brief summary of the contents of the report and highlight its
major conclusions and recommendations.
